ICAN Appoints New Registrar/Chief Executive

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) has appointed Dr. Ahmed Modu Kumshe, FCA as the next Registrar/Chief Executive of ICAN. He succeeds Mr. John Irabor Evbodaghe, FCA who will retire on December 31, 2019.
The new Registrar/Chief Executive brings to the job a robust academic and administrative experience garnered over the years as a university don and chartered accountant.
He joins the Institute from the University of Maiduguri, where he was an Associate Professor and immediate past Head of the Accountancy Department. Dr. Kumshe became a member of the Institute’s Governing Council in 2017 and served as Deputy Chairman of the Publications and Image Committee (PIC) until his new appointment.
