Mr. Oluwasanmi Michael Giwa has won the Institute’s Silver Scholarship following his emergence as the best qualifying candidate in the March 2020 ATSWA examination.
He was adjudged to be the overall best candidate in Part III of the ATSWA examination and was also the best performing candidate in Cost Accounting for which he won the Ugochukwu Nwankwo’s Prize.
ICAN instituted the scholarship for the best Overall Student in the final level of ATSWA to enable them proceed to the Professional level without delay and is part of the strategy to make accountancy profession more attractive to the bright youths.
The scholarship covers examination fees, provision of study packs and tuition fee and shall subsist as long as the student continues to do well in the various levels of the examination.
Other prize winners who were unveiled at the 52nd AATWA Induction ceremony held recently include Oluwasegun Michael Ademuyiwa the best candidate in Part 2 and Miss Rukevwe Favoured Okome-Arumala who came top in the Part 1 examination.
