The Executive Secretary of Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) has provided update on may monthly pension payment and consequential adjustment arrears for the Civil Service Pensioners.
She said the issue causing the delay of the monthly pension is not from PTAD because they completed the processing before the 30th of May 2022. She also said that the arrears of consequential adjustment has also been paid but it is delayed by the same issue.
In the statement she said, To all pensioners from the Parastatal Pension Department yet to receive their monthly pension, we very sincerely apologise and pray that you bear with us. On our own part we finalised the payments before the 30th of May. This glitch is not from PTAD. I am still following up.
I have been giving out information based on what I have received from the relevant offices of the OAGF. I am told payments are supposed to have dropped. Until you, the beneficiaries say so, then and only then would the payment have dropped. I have continued to feed them back.
We have also before the 30th of May finalised the payment of the balance of the three months consequential adjustment arrears for the Civil Service Pensioners. This payment seems to be going through the same situation as the balance of May monthly pensions. Kindly bear with us.
I strongly believe that this will be over soon. It certainly has not been the norm.
I also apologise to pensioners of the Customs Immigration and Prisons pension department going through the same situation. Kindly bear with us. This is certainly not the norm and we are following up with much anxiety to ensure that our dear pensioners receive their May pension.
