Why March 2025 Pension is Yet to be Processed – PTAD
Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) has disclosed that March 2025 pension payment is yet to be processed.
PTAD released a publication to inform retirees about the issues, PTAD said,
“Kindly be informed that due to technical glitch on the GIFMIS platform, pension funds for March 2025 is yet to be released to PTAD.”
“We have put necessary structures in place to enable speedy processing of payment once the fund is available.”
“Please note that Pension Payments are remitted through the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) directly into the individual bank accounts of pensioners which PTAD has no control over.”
The Government Integrated Financial Management Information System (GIFMIS) is an IT based system for budget management and accounting that is being implemented by the Federal Government of Nigeria to improve Public Expenditure Management processes, enhance greater accountability and transparency across Ministries and Agencies. GIFMIS is designed to make use of modern information and communication technologies to help the Government of Nigeria to plan and use its financial resources more efficiently and effectively.
