CAC Marks 35 Years of Corporate Service to Nigeria

The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) will, in February 2026, mark 35 years of continuous service to the Nigerian economy, celebrating over three decades of corporate regulation, business facilitation, and institutional trust.

Established in 1991, the Commission has grown from a largely manual registry into a fully digital and intelligence-driven corporate regulator, playing a critical role in improving the ease of doing business and strengthening corporate governance in Nigeria.

To commemorate this milestone, the Commission will host a week-long anniversary celebration from Monday, 9th February to Friday, 13th February 2026. The programme will feature a series of activities highlighting CAC’s journey, achievements, reforms, and its evolving role in Nigeria’s economic development.

Over the last 35 years, CAC has transformed business registration and post-incorporation services, expanded its product offerings to over 100 digital services, and introduced innovative, technology-enabled solutions that support entrepreneurs, investors, regulators, and the general public.

The CAC @35 celebration will also provide an opportunity to reflect on the Commission’s mandate under the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA), 2020, while reaffirming its commitment to transparency, efficiency, and service excellence.

CAC said further details of the anniversary programmes and activities will be communicated to the public in due course.
